The Volunteer Center, initially known as S.B.R.R.B.S. (Stanstead, Beebe, Rock-Island Regional Benevolent Society), was founded and incorporated in 1980.
In 1994, Mr. Reginald Rediker donated the former Catholic boy’s school in Beebe to the Volunteer Center and, in honour of this generous donation, the center’s name was officially changed to the R.H. Rediker Volunteer Center on January 11th, 1995.
In 1995 the Ursulines donated the building located on 492 Dufferin Street to highlight their community involvement.
The Center is administrated by a Board of Directors made up of volunteers, beneficiaries, professionals and representatives of community organisations of the territory served.
